Our Whistleblower System
At Zarami, adhering to statutory regulations, internal rules, and the principles outlined in our Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct for Business Partners is of utmost importance. Our company’s success is built on Integrity and Compliance. To uphold these standards, it is crucial to identify and address potential misconduct by employees or suppliers promptly. For this reason, the Central Office operates an independent, impartial, and confidential whistleblowing system.
Key Principles of Our Whistleblower System
Procedural Fairness: Ensuring fair processes is a cornerstone of our Whistleblower System. We aim to provide the highest level of protection for whistleblowers, implicated persons, and employees involved in investigations.
Anonymous Reporting: We offer options for anonymous reporting and communication. We guarantee not to take any steps to identify anonymous whistleblowers who responsibly use our system.
Protection Against Retaliation: Retaliation against whistleblowers and anyone contributing to investigations will not be tolerated. All implicated persons are presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
Confidential Investigations: Investigations are conducted with the utmost confidentiality, ensuring that information is processed fairly, quickly, and securely.
How Do We Process a Report?
Initial Examination: Qualified and experienced colleagues at the Investigation Office thoroughly examine each report of potential misconduct by a Zarami Group employee. Whistleblowers receive confirmation of receipt.
Assessment: The Investigation Office assesses the report, gathering facts, particularly from the whistleblower. An investigation by a dedicated Investigating Unit begins only if there are grounds for suspicion of a violation.
Investigation and Outcome: The Investigation Office evaluates the investigation results and recommends appropriate measures. Information about the status and outcome of the procedure is provided without undue delay.
Reporting Misconduct by Suppliers
Potential violations of the Code of Conduct for Business Partners by suppliers, including serious risks and violations of human rights and environmental standards by direct and indirect suppliers, can also be reported to the Investigation Office. The responsible departments are informed and will process the issue, accordingly, taking necessary measures to minimize or end violations and risks.
Note: Processing times vary depending on the subject of the procedure.
